Belgrade Theater - The Terazije theater is located at Nikola Pasic Square, next to the modern fast-food restaurant McDonald's, on Terazije street, right across the street from the well-known Hotel Moskow. It was founded in 1949 in Belgrade under the name Humorous Theatre, between 1954 and 1959 it was known as the “Belgrade comedy” theater, and after that and the merger with the Belgrade Drama Theatre it was named the Contemporary Theatre. In 1976, it finally became an independent theater in Belgrade and was given its current name The Terazije theater. In the permanent structure it has Drama, Ballet, Choral and Orchestral ensembles, and it especially nurtures domestic dramatic work. The repertoire of the Terazije Theatre often has musicals that made thi theater in Belgrade celebrated and famous.
The Terazije Theatre is one of the smaller theaters in Belgrade with only one stage where the ground floor has 349 seats and the balcony 119 seats.
Opening hours of the Theatre Box Office in Belgrade are from 1pm to 7.30pm from Tuesday to Saturday, and from 5pm to 7.30pm on Sundays. On Mondays the Theatre on Terazije does not work. All performances begin at 7.30 pm.
