Cinemas Belgrade - The Yugoslav Cinematheque is located in the very center of Belgrade at Uzun-Mirkova No. 1. The Yugoslav Cinematheque is today one of the most respected institutions of culture, collecting, preserving and displaying films, supporting film material and material in the field of film. All the materials collected by the Cinematheque are stored in the archives. The Yugoslav Film Archive has made it one of the 5 most important film archives in the world. Interestingly, some of the archival material was found in bunkers beneath the Tashmajdan Cave.
Film screenings are organized at the Cinematheque Museum, where films from the rich Cinematic Fund are screened every few days. Movie lovers and curious viewers can always watch the most famous local films at the Cinema, especially some that they might not have the chance to watch. We must not forget to mention that Kinoteha exchanges materials with archives abroad, so the screenings include the world's best film creations. The total holdings of the Cinematheque are more than 100,000 copies, and a large part is made up of collections of domestic films. Single ticket for adults is 200 dinars, while for children up to 7 years the entry is completely free.
