Belgrade Attractions - On 7th of June, 1980 the endowment of Milos Crnjanski from the list Belgrade Attractions was officially established with the means that Vidosava Crnjanski, Milos’s widow bequeathed. However, the very beginning of the Foundation of Milos Crnjanski from the list Belgrade Attractions happened earlier, on 6th of July in 1978, when Vidosava Crnjanski, feeling that her end was near, prepared a will and with it bequeathed the Fund of the future Foundation.
In this will she ordered the first three members of the Board of Directors, Nikola Milosevic, professor of literature at the University of Belgrade, Borislav Mihajlovic Muhiz and Veljko Kovacevic. They were then joined by Bosko Petrovic, Milos Stanibolić, Vladimir Stojšin and Milorad Djuric.
The basic and main objectives of the endowment of Milos Crnjanski are that it keeps the memory of this great writer and that it takes care of the publication of his work localy and abroad, as well as being an incentive for the creation of literary work in Serbia by awarding the 'Award of Milos Crnjanski "
The prize is awarded every two years and to date it was presented 45 times. In 1990 the Foundation of Milos Crnjanski begins with its publishing activities, and in 1993 the endowment began its largest project, publishing the complete works of Milos Crnjanski.
So far it has published 10 volumes, and it could publish 10 more.
